It's been quite a year! My first thoughts about 2024 are exhausting. For some reason, it was a rough year. It started out rough and ended a little smoother but I am glad we made it another year! I think it was a combination of things that made it tougher than usual.
I thought when the kids got older it would be easier but that is not the case! Our daughter moved to Minneapolis at the end of May. She got a paid internship at a Christian Study Center at the University of MN. When she got the interview and I told her go anywhere except MN. Well, that's the position that was open so off she went to Minneapolis! I know that is where she is meant to be so I only cried for a little while LOL. It's actually all good. She has really enjoyed the area and has met a lot of great people.
It's our son's senior year in high school! Can't believe that he is 18 already! His football season was a little rough. We made sure one of us was always at the game but that meant a lot of driving for both of us because neither of us wanted to miss the games. It didn't help that he got hurt every other game! By his last game, I was out of town but I was able to watch it. He started off great, then hurt his knee and re-hurt his thumb and then I was over it. I stopped watching it until I knew the game was completely over and he was ok. I know I will miss all the excitement next year but I'm glad it's over.
There were other things throughout the year but I know God was with us to get us through and keep us going. It's funny how we only see a little piece of the puzzle. Not the whole picture. If we have faith and keep going, we see a little more of it.
When we first started (14 years ago!),we had no idea what we were doing! I had no idea how God was going to use us. I only knew I loved taking pictures and finding verses for them! Little by little, God has showed me what He was doing. I now know it's not about me and never was. He put that passion in my heart and now I'm able to see more pieces to the puzzle. I love it when customers tell me what they do with our pictures. For instance, a lady said her adult children, who aren't believers, always look on her refrigerator for new magnets. Little do they know, seeds are being planted.
But it's really not about us at all because without our customers/friends, none of this would happen. I LOVE how we all have gifts and God uses all of us together. Someday we will all be able to see the whole puzzle come together and what an amazing picture that will be!
Hope everyone has a BLESSED 2025!
