It's been quite a year! My first thoughts about 2024 are exhausting. For some reason, it was a rough year. It started out rough and ended a little smoother but I am glad we made it another year! I think it was a combination of things that made it tougher than usual. I thought when the kids got older it would be easier but that is not the case! Our daughter moved to Minneapolis at the end of May. She got a paid internship at a Christian Study Center at the University of MN. When she got the interview and I...
Eagles Wings

I finally got my eagle picture! It took me awhile but it's all in God's timing! I have always loved the story about how eagles have a 'rebirth'. In the wild, once eagles get to about 40 years old, they have to make a decision to die or undergo a long process of 150 days to be renewed. It's long pointed beak curves to it's chest, it's talons lose flexibility and their chest becomes have with heavy, thick feathers. They fly up to a nest high in the mountains and begin the process of 'rebirth' striking its beak on the...

We took it pretty easy this winter. My mom came over and we started making sour dough everything! I got a starter from my friend and it must be pretty hardy! I'm not one to follow directions or measure precisely, but it's still alive and it's been two months! The things that I make all the time now are Sour Dough English Muffins and Sour Dough Pancakes. They are so good! I had to put it away when the shows started in March. I got it back out in April and now only make things once or twice a week....

Well, it's 2024! It's a little hard to believe that it's here already! I wanted to THANK each and everyone of you that continue to support us every year! We appreciate it more than you could ever know. We are very blessed to have customers/friends like you. I always say we have the best customers and I truly mean it! Without your support, encouragement, and friendship, we wouldn't have lasted this long! It's been a hard journey (whose isn't!) but we would do it again and again because of you. Thank you!! Also, wanted to THANK all of our artist/vendor friends for...
Going Out and Coming In

So this happened a few weekends ago. I was at Milford Memories and Jason was at Shaker Woods (the first weekend). We both always check our weather the day before. We've learned not to get worked up when it has rain or storms the week before the show. It always changes. We don't take stock in anything until the day of and then pray for the best! On Friday of Milford Memories, it rained a little during the show but it wasn't bad. I was prepared and it wasn't windy or anything so it wasn't a big deal. At the...
